Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive win over challenger Moutet.

This marks his first title after the Rome competition and first on a hard court after spring of that year.

"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."

The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, comprising in that event in the past months.

His counter-punching play style and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had led some to doubt if his skill to perform at the highest level was concluded.

Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and perform positively, supported by an better serving game.

The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, taking 4 of the final five exchanges to go ahead.

The pair swapped service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.

Moutet rescued 4 initial opportunities in a tight final set before the champion won the break to 15 to serve for the match.

Suitably, the winner clinched the win with a shot at the net area, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
