The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Table
Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative including angels, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.
This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Given an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.
Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem unsuited, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
First, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a intense initial meeting with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous location.
- The strong character and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their position as key figures in the powerful family could help the group reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, Teor swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The target is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
According to episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Seekers and Strategists parties.
Fans can look forward to discovering which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
